• Magazine submissions
• Learning/developing skills
• Staying up to date on new camera gear
• Testing new camera gear
• Maintaining gear
• Paying for new gear and props
• Staying up to date with trends
• Accounting/Taxes
• Reminding people to pay

I'm sure I left out lots of stuff!

All of these put together is more than a full time job for anyone but a photographer needs to fill all those roles to keep our business going. It's a lot on top of a full time job and regular life!
